About Martin Niedenfuhr
Martin Niedenfuhr is an Australian childcare marketing consultant with more than 15 years in early learning. He founded Enrolment Boost in 2019 and has supported more than 300 centres since, from single sites to national groups. He is based on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria, and works with providers across Australia.
How I got here
I started in the marketing team at G8 Education, working across 250 services. That is where I learnt that occupancy is rarely one problem. The same campaign could fill one centre and do nothing for the centre down the road, and the reason was almost never the advertising.
I then ran my own marketing agency, working with more than 500 Australian businesses, many of them childcare services. By 2019 the childcare work was the part I cared about most, so I built Enrolment Boost to do only that.
What I work on now
Most of my consulting uses what I call the Full Rooms Method. It works through the four things that decide whether a room fills, from the inside out: keeping the families you have, offering extra days where families genuinely want them, turning enquiries into tours and enrolments, and then building local demand. Advertising comes last because it only works once the rest can handle the families it brings in.
The consulting is diagnosis and advice. Where a centre wants the work delivered, it runs through Enrolment Boost under a separate arrangement.
How I work
I will tell you what I would change first and why. I will not promise an occupancy figure, because local demand, staffing and licensed places sit outside anyone's control.
Outside work
I am a husband and dad, and I am closely supervised by Daisy, our labradoodle, who is confident she owns the house.
